Ryken's first "big boy" bath!

Ryken and Kenzie have taken baths together since Ryken's first tub bath at 17 days old. Kenzie is very good about not splashing him (too much..anyway) and he LOVES being in the bath with her. The past few weeks he has wanted to sit up in the tub SO badly! He does little crunches the whole time....trying with all his might to sit up.

This past week he has finally been sitting up...and the past few days I have been able to leave him sitting and playing with toys on his own for awhile. So tonight I figured I'd let him spend a couple minutes sitting up at the beginning of his bath. He ended up sitting up for well over 10 minutes, and the only reason I laid him down was because I needed to shampoo Kenzie's hair was afraid I wouldn't be able to grab him if he fell over! He did GREAT! He played with toys and was even purposely splashing at one point and didn't fall over! I couldn't believe it! I was SO excited that I had taken my camera in the bathroom with me to get some new bath pictures. I went picture-crazy : ) But I will only post 5 here. There are more on my Facebook page for those of you that I am FB Friends with!!

My little cutie-patooties!

I love this picture...it makes me laugh at how silly he looks every time I see it! HA!

Working on the handle...tasty!

Splashing : ) So fun!

Ryken had such a good idea chewing on the foam letters that Kenzie had to copy him....

So that was my exciting night : ) I couldn't WAIT to upload these and share them!! I am so excited yet a tiny part of me is also so sad that my tiny little guy is growing so fast. But it also amazes me and makes me so thankful to our Creator that he is developing and learning and discovering this beautiful world that God designed. I am definitely MORE thankful and excited than sad!!

Thank you Lord...for strong tummy muscles and sitting up in the tub : )

I really enjoy seeing your pictures of your beautiful kids, but I also enjoy reading your thoughts even if there is no picture to go with. You and your family are a joy to read about. Love you and take care of those wonderful babies!!
