Wednesday was Chip's second day off this week. It was a good day : ) I had a doctor's appointment at 9am, so we loaded the family in the car at 8:30am. I have LOVED how involved Chip has been in both pregnancies. His job makes it really easy for him to come to appointments and I think out of BOTH pregnancies he has only missed 2-3 appointments total!! I love that my doctor actually KNOWS who the dad of my babies is and remembers him : )
Anyway....everything was GREAT with Baby R. I was 2 days away from being 31 weeks and measured at 31.5...as long as you're within 2cm you're considered good. I hadn't gained ANY weight (I think I might have even lost a lb??) since my appointment 3 weeks ago and I was glad about that because I have been eating hardly ANY sugar and it is nice to know that it seems to be helping! Everything is going so well that I don't have to go to another appointment for another 3 weeks (34 weeks). YAY! Then I think after that I will go at 36 weeks and then maybe every week after that? Not sure.
So we were in and out at the doctor with a WONDERFUL report and got back home before 10. Kenzie went down for a nap and I worked for about 3.5 hours. Chip just did misc stuff. Kenzie got up and we ate lunch and then started our afternoon project of painting a dresser for the kid room. My parents are graciously letting us get some use out of it, so we could save some money and not have to buy one right now : ) But it needed a touch-up paint job. We were thinking ahead and put our bathing suits on ahead of time so that we could just go to the pool once we were done! Here is Chippie...painting away.....
While we were painting, Kenzie was playing in some water we gave her with a little paint sponge and also LOVING the rocks.
Chip got done painting and went inside to clean the brushes....Kenzie was still playing with the rocks. I was moving the drawers up against the wall to dry while we were in the pool. Kenzie came over to her water with a rock (not uncommon thing for her to do....). I saw her dip it in the water (also not uncommon) and then proceed to put it in her mouth (unfortunately...also not uncommon). I told her not to put it in her mouth and made the spitting sound we make to get her to spit it out and told her "yucky". She immediately spit it out (I think even before I was done telling her to), threw the rock into a cup of her water, and made the spitting noise, which she always does. But then, she proceeded to make the spitting noise a couple more times. I just thought she was really into the spitting noise but looked down and saw something around her lips. I thought "oh great...the rock was covered with dirt..." I start trying to get the dirt out of her mouth with my finger (luckily there wasn't that much...) and that's when I looked down into the water and see that the "rock" is now breaking apart.......IT WAS DOG POOP!!!!!!!! I was SO SO SO grossed out. I grabbed her as fast as I could and ran into the house and was frantically asking Chip what we should do, as I stuck her on the counter and started trying to rinse out her mouth the the sprayer on the sink (that was an interesting process...lol). He finally said "I dunno...brush her teeth??" So we took her into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. Here was the piece of poop.......
I wish people would pick up after there pets! ICK! So that was officially one of the most disgusted times of my life. I HATE knowing that my little girl put DOG POOP in her mouth....but at least she spit it out fast and didn't eat it!
After that whole incident, we went to the pool at our complex as we had planned : ) Here are some pictures I got of Kenzie and Chip. It felt AMAZING to cool down after painting in the heat!

So that was our Wednesday! We had a fun family day!
