I blog a lot in my head.....

but I rarely make it to blogger.com and get my blogs "out" and "on paper". It's too bad, really, because I am sure I'd really enjoy being able to come back and read them if they were here. But when they stay in my mind, they tend to vanish before I'm able to revisit them.

It's been so long this time. Way too long. The boys are already 12 13 weeks old. Can that be right?! REALLY?? It is going by so quickly. At their 2 month appointment (almost 10 weeks) Casey weighed in at 12lbs 6oz. He is my talker. He tries so hard to tell me stories and it is the cutest thing ever. Emery tries to talk too, but Casey does it more. Emery weighed in at 12lbs 8oz. Until that appointment, he has always been around 2oz LESS than Casey. But he finally passed him up : ) Emery is a little bit more smiley than Casey. Not much, but a little bit. These differences are so subtle that most wouldn't notice them. Each of them "talk". And each of them smile. But because I'm around them as much as I am, I notice which one does what just a little bit more than the other. Besides these things, there is really hardly any difference between them. There are a few physical features that help us tell them apart. Casey has a tiny birthmark on his stomach....I say that God was just helping us out. Now I never have to wonder if I've mixed them up. Casey also has the slightest little storkbite birthmark above his eye. Overall, his complexion is a little bit more red than Emery's. But they are definitely identical. They eat the same amounts...at pretty much the same times (if one wakes up hungry, I wake the other up at the same time or right when the first baby finishes eating). They like the same positions. They look the same. They have the EXACT same cry (I definitely can't tell who is crying without looking).

My little Rykie-boy is already 21 months old. He is TOTAL 100% into anything with WHEELS! Trucks, cars, trains....if he doesn't have one in his hand, you can bet there is one nearby. He takes them with him in the car. He takes them to bed. He takes them in the bath. The other day as he was playing with them on the coffee table, I watched him tip them onto their sides, one by one. As soon as he got them all tipped he looked up at me and said "Cars ni-night". How stinkin' cute is that?! He LOVES his big sister. He is constantly watching and copying her. He wants to be with her all of the time. They are bestest friends and I LOVE watching them. What else about my boy? He's a little pip-squeak. At his 18 month appointment he was in the 6th percentile for height and weight. He still wears 12 month shorts. He LOVES his paci and blankie (which he sometimes calls a giraffe...Kenzie has a giraffe she sleeps with...so he gets confused and calls his blankie a giraffe). He says SOO much....much more than Kenzie did at this age. We're pretty sure it's because he's got such a good teacher (Kenzie). He is a DESSERT FANATIC. He is stubborn as can be. He loves to snuggle. And give kisses to his baby brothers. He doesn't like his hands being messy...especially during meals, which results in "oh no...messy" about 1000x each time we eat. He's such a little peanut and I LOVE him.

Kenzie Rose. Oh my. She just turned 3 and is starting to seem so "grown up". She is such an amazing little helper (most of the time) and it has been so much fun being able to REALLY talk to her. She understands things. And remembers things. And is just a lot of fun. She loves to help in the kitchen. And loves to help change diapers (which is never a problem as there is ALWAYS a diaper to change!) She picks out her clothes and puts on her shoes and just wants to be all grown up. She loves church. And going to both of her grandmas' houses. She still takes GREAT naps! (2 hours or more) but she wakes up EARLY every morning (6am). She loves the story of Queen Esther. She recently bought something with her own money for the first time....she picked a Tinkerbell outfit. (She calls it her princess outfit). She LOVES Curious George...she watches everyday.

I wish I blogged more. Maybe I will try to. Maybe I'll get better at jumping on here and writing a quick thought. (Probably not). Oh well.
