ONE MORE POST for The Mother Letters Project
As of Sunday, December 14th, just under 450 letters had been received. There is a goal going around of 1,000 letters. LET'S HELP THEM REACH THIS GOAL!!
If you are a mother.....WRITE! Share your story...big or small. Share a piece of advice, wisdom, encouragement, etc. The gift of advice, wisdom and encouragement you will receive in exchange will be WELL WORTH IT! IF you send your letter (either to motherletter@gmail.com or by commenting on the motherletter blog) BY THE END OF THE DAY ON CHRISTMAS, you will receive an electronic copy of ALL of the mother letters. I have read through some of the ones posted as comments, and YOU WON'T BE SORRY : )

The Mother Letter Project
I NEED to make time to catch up. Time seems to be speeding by....I don't know where the past month disappeared to!
But for now, I wanted to quickly stop by and do a little advertising for something fun.
It is called The Mother Letter Project.
A husband, trying to "make" a meaningful inexpensive gift for his wife this Christmas, decided to ask some mothers he knew to write letters that he could compile for his sweetheart. He wanted to give her something that would provide encouragement and would be relevant in her life.
Word got around....and he got more than he bargained for. Many mothers, from all over, willing to participate in his homemade gift. He is giving a gift in return......he is providing the complete compilation of letters for everyone who submits a letter to the project.
So go to the website posted above. It tells his story and gives all the details. I really enjoyed writing my "mother letter". It gave me time to reflect and really remember to be thankful for the little ones God has entrusted me with! I can't wait to read other mother letters and hear from all different ages/stages of moms.

Catching up....October Fun!
I can't believe I haven't updated in 3 weeks...and even that last update was pretty pathetic! So here is my attempt to recap the end of October. I don't feel like we're doing THAT much, but time is flying by anyway! So...here we go!
PUMPKIN PATCH, Thursday, October 16th
Chip and I decided to take the kids to a Pumpkin Patch. We chose one that was pretty low-key as Kenzie is still too little to do a whole lot and we didn't want to have to pay very much. It was SO WARM (mid to upper 90's) so it was hard to be in a "fall" mood, but it was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from our time there......

These pictures were taken with our video camera and are bad quality, but our other camera battery had died....Kenz had fun on the tractor!
Ryken didn't like it quite as much...
We were trying to get the whole family...good enough!
So....that was our fun time at the pumpkin patch! We are thinking next year will be even better when Kenzie will be able to understand more and Ryken may actually be able to participate some too : )
Here is a random bath picture of Ryken....it is one of his FAVORITE PLACES! Whenever he is fussy a bath calms him right down!
Letter from Aunt Liz
A highlight for Kenzie at the end of last month was a letter that she got in the mail from her aunt Liz! Here she is opening her letter:
She got STICKERS!!!!!!
She was so excited!
And of course she had to put some on right away!

Maggie's Visit October 22nd-27th
My best friend from Taylor came to visit me!! It was the first time she has been to Mesa and I had a great time introducing her to my life : )
She won Kenzie over right away by bringing candy....
We did so many fun things. We went on walks (and runs!), ate lots of yummy food, went shopping and just spent time at home.
Here we are enjoying a lunch outside at Cheesecake Factory...YUM!
We were being silly....Chip thought we were taking the picture of ourselves in the mirror...we were, but we made sure he was the main attraction of the picture!
Mmm...eating...again...of course. Chip and guac!
We made zucchini bread.....Ryken was such a good helper!

Jumping Party!
Another fun thing we did at the end of October was when we went to a fun jumping place with two other families. Sadly, the place couldn't afford to stay open and closed just a couple days later, but that particular night we had the place all to ourselves and it was a blast!

HALLOWEEN!!!
Halloween is still somewhat uneventful at this point as our little ones are too small to really trick or treat yet. But we still had fun dressing them up! Here are all the little ones from our playgroup...getting this many little ones dressed up all at once is quite an ordeal...but we got some cute pictures from it!

Another part of Halloween we enjoy is CARVING PUMPKINS! Here we are...
Kenzie took care of Ryken while Chip and I were playing....
Here are our finished masterpieces....I made mine for Kenzie. She LOVED it!
We did a little costume photoshoot....this was the longest they wore their costumes. I loved my little chickens!
Here were a few I took in normal clothes once their costumes got too hot and needed to come off.
Chip had to work on Halloween until around 8:30. His dad was working too, so I took the kids over to his parents house and hung out with Chip's mom. We handed out candy and I took the kids for a quick stroll around the block since Kenzie had been begging for a "wah" all day. Chip came to his parents house once he got off work and then we came home. Overall it was pretty low-key but also fun.
SOOO....that is the end of our October! And now we're already over halfway through November...so I better start catching up on that now!!!!!

Sorry it's been so long!!!!
So I haven't posted in 2 weeks. Time flies!
I don't have a ton of time tonight. But I wanted to post some recent pictures of the kiddos.
I have a lot on my mind, and will hopefully get a chance to write more soon. But if not, at least you get to see the precious little gifts that God has allowed Chip and I to enjoy and raise......
